Wandering Through History!

Durango, CO to Durango, CO

We woke up this morning and ate breakfast in the hotel as usual, and we loaded the bus! Today we went to a national park called Mesa Verde. It was about an hour ride there, and when we got to the top of the mountain, we met our tour guide. We saw artifacts from the native people and houses that they would’ve lived in. The scenery was beautiful! We had a picnic on the grounds of Mesa Verde for lunch.

Next, we went to the laundromat where all of us did our laundry! Some girls called home while they waited on their laundry to finish.

For the rest of the afternoon and night we had free time, so we walked back to the hotel and dressed up for dinner.

We could go anywhere we wanted as long as we were in groups of three. Some of us went to McDonald’s with a large group, and then we walked around the town of Durango! We even saw a double rainbow! Overall, today was great and I’m so excited for tomorrow.
