Good Evening, Louisiana!

San Antonio, TX to New Orleans, LA

Hello! Today we got up bright and early for our last full day of the trip! We drove through Texas for a few hours until we reached Mcdonald’s and had breakfast there. My friends and I had hot cakes and hash browns, and it was so good! After we left McDonald’s, we continued our drive where most of us slept or watched a movie. We then made it to Louisiana, and we stopped at a mall in Lake Charles where we had lunch. Some of us got Auntie Anne’s pretzels, while other people enjoyed a pizza place, Starbucks, and more. Some people even got cookies and cotton candy after their lunch.

After eating, we had some extra time to shop around the mall. We got back on the bus after lunch and kept driving towards New Orleans. Another stop was made on the way at a gas station where we could get snacks and whatever else we needed for the rest of our ride! Finally, we reached New Orleans and got to our hotel where we prepared for dinner and got ready together with friends.

We all walked to our dinner at the Coterie restaurant. We had a choice between a few dishes- a cheeseburger, jambalaya, and shrimp po-boy. Shirley Temples were a popular drink choice as usual!

After dinner, we walked to Cafe du Monde where we enjoyed their famous beignets! We danced and sang to live music that was around the cafe and then walked back to the hotel to wind down and get ready for our final drive home!
