Flips, Dives, and Splashes at Balmorhea

Alamogordo, NM to Fort Stockton, TX

After a fun day in Alamogordo, New Mexico, we woke up to head to Balmorhea State Park. We had a full day of traveling with a lunch stop at Starbucks and Wendy’s! Everyone was very happy to walk around and eat food after a couple of hours. Around 3:00pm we made it to Balmorhea State Park. Everyone rushed to jump in the spring, and once we all began swimming around, we realized that there were fish and turtles everywhere! The high dive was a big hit for everyone, and the back flips and dives were crazy.

I had so much fun getting to hangout with the whole group and relaxing. Around 6:00pm we made our way to the Best Western Hotel to drop off all the luggage. We then quickly jumped back onto the bus for a delicious dinner at Dickey’s BBQ! Personally, the Mac n Cheese was my favorite.

After dinner we got surprised to a dessert at Dairy Queen! The whole group was very excited to get ice cream, milkshakes, and blizzards. Today was Emma Miller’s birthday, so it was fun to end her birthday with a treat! Happy birthday Emma Miller!!!

Afterwards, we made our way back to the hotel around curfew to get ready for another great night of sleep!
