California Dreamin'

Pismo Beach, CA to Anaheim, CA

Today we woke up in Pismo Beach and grabbed the hotel breakfast before hitting the road for LA and Anaheim! Our first stop of the day was the LA Farmer’s Market that had lots of food and store vendors as well as high end shopping and restaurants. Some of the kids enjoyed açaí bowls and others had Starbucks or Cheesecake Factory. The girls enjoyed shopping at Zara and Edikted, while the boys explored Nike and other stores.

Next we welcomed our step-on tour guide for the afternoon. He showed us all around LA and pointed out many sites, especially many places in which movies have been filmed. We stopped at the Griffith Observatory and enjoyed exploring the exhibits and learning about the universe. The observatory brought great views of LA, and we even could see the famous Hollywood sign!

We then headed to Beverly Hills and saw the famous sign there as well as took a stroll down Rodeo Drive.

We said goodbye to our tour guide and then headed to Anaheim, where we would later spend the night. After checking in the hotel, we had Raising Canes for dinner, which was a crowd favorite for sure!

We ended the night exploring Downtown Disney, and the kids even had an extended curfew so they could really take in all the magic that Disney has to offer! Downtown Disney had lots of shops and restaurants as well as various food trucks and ice cream shops. We even got to watch the fireworks show. Tomorrow we are all very excited to explore the park!
